BAND TORCHLIGHT PARADE

ALBUM TORCHLIGHT PARADE

LABEL SELF RELEASE

OUT June 19th, 2020

OUR RATING 85/100

TORCHLIGHT PARADE from St.Louis are out on June 19 with a self-titled album.

Their name is meant to invoke the image of an ancient funeral procession.

The funeral motif is an element in their renowned live shows which regularly feature the singer emerging from a coffin, a full compliment of bagpipers, torches and even an appearance by Michael Myers of Halloween fame.

Thematically, their songs often consist of messages of death and an afterlife, with the occasional tune about a hot rod or a celebration of the country that founded R’N’R.

Their sound is sound so various and with many influences.

After an intro, the first shot is GOLGOTHA, a great example of Classic Hm, enhanced by strong riffs, roaring bass, vocals effectives and by an inspired solo.

In SALVATION we can find somethin’ from first slice of 80’s US Metal bands, while in HOLY FIRE dark elements prevail, reminding us the inspiration of CIRITH UNGOL.

On the same way great SONS OF THUNDER, while ANGEL WINGS, after a thoughtful start, becomes heavier and solo parts, a trademark, are always to remind.

After the great title track, we can find HADDONFIELDS, maybe a step behind while METAL ON THE PEDAL is a great rockin one.

Powerful and darker SOULSTRUCK while true American RED WHITE AN BLUE ends in the best way this platter which WE SUGGEST WITHOUT HESITATION.
