BAND Starmen

ALBUM BY THE GRACE OF ROCK’N’ROLL

LABEL MELODIC PASSION RECORDS

OUT March 12th, 2021

OUR RATING 82/100

STARMEN, from Sweden, was formed in 2018 and was from the beginning just a fun idea, to make a record dedicated to the heroes of classic hard rock scene from seventies and eighties.

They previously unleashed two album, the debut “Welcome to my World” and the second album “Kiss the Sky” released by Melodic Passion Records in 2020, and distributed by Sound Pollution Ditribution, and now are ready with the third chapter, entitled BY THE GRACE OF ROCK’N’ROLL, available on March 12th on MELODIC PASSION RECORDS.

SHINING STAR is the first shot, six minutes clearly influenced by best second half-80’s WHITESNAKE, both powerful and catchy with gorgeous solo parts (and it will be a trademark of the entire platter), followed by the title-track, bombastic R N R, inspired by KISS.

KAIRI reminds again somethin’ from best KISS, while BLACK THUNDER...shows something different with funky elements.

KISS OF A ENEMY provided contemporary drops while PLEASUREDOME is more structured and darker.

They go on with SPACEPLANE which contains power-pop and AOR elements, before more rockin’ PEOPLE’S PARADE bring us back to atmospheres of first songs of the album.

Brilliant next BAD HABIT and HOTTER THAN FIRE, the second one with darker shades and a prog touch.

ANGELS CRYING is a strong song followed by an outro that ends in the best way this album.

An interesting album, with many faces to show..STARMEN..TO SUGGEST!!
