BAND Rebel Priest

ALBUM LOST IN TOKYO (EP)

LABEL Batcave Records

OUT Aug 13th, 2021

OUR RATING 80/100

Rebel Priest is a rock n’ roll band which consists of three experienced musicians who have been making their way through the Western Canadian RNR scene for years.

They are: Vocalist/bassist Jayme Black (Lust Boys, The Toxiks); guitarist/vocalist Benny Kemp (Lust Boys, Road Rash) and drummer/vocalist Nate Pole (Kill Matilda, The Toxiks).

The band had shared stages with U.D.O., Lordi, Diamond Head, Crystal Pistol, Flotsam and Jetsam, among others.

Now they’re ready to unleash a new EP entitled “Lost In Tokyo”, which was written in Japan at the very end of 2019, before the closure, and the band has been sitting on the tracks for over a year.

The band even shares a cover rendition of Toronto 80s metal band Slash Puppets’ entitled “When The Whip Comes Down”.

The first shot is the title track, fresh and powerful hard rock with strong vocals and RNR foundation.

Rhytmic BACK ALLEY BLUES and more lilting VULGAR ROMANCE follow, while WHEN THE WHIP COMES DOWN is a fresh cover which you’ll appreciate.

To suggest!
