BAND Dätcha Mandala

ALBUM HARA

LABEL MRS RED SOUND

OUT June 5th (DGT), June 19th (CD/LP)

OUR RATING 75/100

Vintage hard rock band DÄTCHA MANDALA was out today with new album HARA, available on Mars Red Sound.

High voltage riffs mixed with political and philosophical themes in this sophomore LP, where the heavy blues trio provides its vision of rock n’roll.

This new album has been recorded at Studio Black Box (Elder, The Kills, Lysistrata) and Studio Berduquet in France by Clive Martin (Queen, Tom Yorke, The Cure).

Over the years, French heavy blues trio from Bordeaux DÄTCHA MANDALA have found the right balance between material and spiritual thoughts, providing a sensorial 70’s experience.

A modern touch in first STICK OUT, with medium/high vocals tones, rough riffs and dynamic drums, while following MOTHER GOD and WHO YOU ARE provide a more bluesy twist.

The delta blues of interlude..MISSING BLUES opens MORNING SONG, a fancy track which grows second after second.

If of SICK MACHINE we aren’t enthusiastic, with its electronic parts, MOHA is very interesting with its peculiar rhythms and percussions.

Strong riffing and an articulated texture in EHT BUP, while in TIT’S and ON THE ROAD the blues influence is again exhalted.

A BAND TO KEEP AN EYE ON!
