ALBUM BETWEEN ETERNITIES OF DARKNESS
LABEL ROCKSHOTS RECORDS OUT Dec 6th 2018 (DGL), Jan 25th, 2019 (Europe), Feb 8th, 2019 (North America) OUR RATING 80/100
Twenty years after their 1999 album “Architects of The Mind” out via Nuclear Blast Records, HOLLOW, a prog/power project lead by Andreas Stoltz (Binary Creed) are ready with a new chapter, after their signing to Rockshots Records, called “Between Eternities of Darkness”.
With 45 mins' duration and ten songs, this new album has different sides.
It's able to be darker, when it needs, but it shows clear examples of power metal alternating with several changes of time with prog's flavour.
This album is not lacking in more melodic parts such as in FATE OF THE JESTER or DOWN, or in the great arpeggio in the first slice of SHADOW WORLD.
“It’s a journey through a short period in a small family’s life. This particular period is dark and tragic, but they’ve seen better days. Light and beauty remain in memory" says Andreas Stoltz.
The album was written and recorded during the fall of 2017 and early winter of 2018 plus mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström at Enhanced Audio Productions, Umeå, Sweden.
We remind that Andreas is also the vocalist of Binary Creed, whom have released two albums, “Restitution” (2014) and “A Battle Won” (2017).
