"The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion" is the second studio full-lenght by The Black Crowes, released in 1992.
It was the first album featuring Marc Ford as lead guitarist.
The album's title reminds us the Southern Harmony, an influential 1835 hymnal compiled by William Walker. Many singles had a big success at these times; among others "Remedy" , "Thorn in My Pride", "Sting Me" , and "Hotel Illness" .
