BAND WYTCH HAZEL
LABEL BAD OMEN RECORDS
OUT 2018 July 13th
OUR RATING 80/100
After the first great debut "PRELUDE", It's time for WYTCH HAZEL to return with a new platter, called "II:SOJOURN", out via BAD OMEN RECORDS.
Under medieval clothes of these british guys, we can find an other great album of classic Hard Rock, ready to develop a deeply own style, despite having big respect for big masters of the past.
Honestly first two songs, THE DEVIL IS HERE and SAVE MY LIFE, don't convince us at all but with STILL WE FIGHT this album begins to working full blast.
The power grows a little and here we can find the band that we love, with inspired solos, melody and all sounds so fancy.
WAIT ON THE WIND is an intimate space full of pathos, while SEE MY DEMONS really convinces us.
BARROW HILL starts in acoustic mood, so seventies and british, a real gem.
CHORALE is a fancy instrumental with guitars in pole position.
If SLAVES TO RIGHTOUSNESS is maybe a step back, VICTORY, with great twin guitars that reminds us somethin' from THIN LIZZY, is a real summary of that band is able to provide.
ANGEL TAKE ME, light and misty, ends in the best way this great album.
