BAND SNAKE EYES SEVEN
ALBUM MEDICINE MAN
OUT 2018 (March 30th)
OUR RATING 85/100
SNAKE EYES SEVEN, four years since the release of "13 Crows", and their founding member Cole 'The Madman' Stevens are ready to rock the world with a new album called 'Medicine Man'.
The line up is completed by producer and now full-time guitarist Cam MacLeod, by vocalist Danny Deane, bassist Mike Cillis and drummer Erik Young.
This platter starts in waitin' with SPEAKING ILL OF THE DEAD, before a powerful HARD ROCK, fresh and smart with vocals dirty as long as it takes and a solo very inspired.
CAN YOUR HEAR ME CALLING is a HR tune with melodic parts and well looked after backing vocals.
Right melody, right solo, right power..no objections!!
MEDICINE MAN goes on in the same way, maybe a bit darker and hits us with its structure anyway never obvious.
THE KILL is a powerful song with British drops, fancy riffing and awesome vocals..a really amazing track!!
THE CRITICAL is sparkling and full of rhythm with backing vocals able to giving somethin'different.
ANGEL OF DEATH is introduced by great drum roll and developing itself in somethin'various, full of changes..a perfect song to be seen played live!
While SOB is more classic HR, WHAT ABOUT PEACE is darker, less immediate and in more modern mood.
This album ends with GOODBYE RONNIE, the right tribute, in words and in vocals, to a legend as RONNIE JAMES DIO.
WE CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS ALBUM ENOUGH..FRESH AND SMART HARD ROCK AT HIGH LEVEL!
