EYNOMIA - PHYLLIS RUTTER

💿 Hi, it's a pleasure for us to have on Hardrockheavymetal PHYLLIS RUTTER of EYNOMIA, symphonic hard'n'heavy band from USA!! Let's start talking about the birth of this new band; When is this all begun and which bands have influenced you? First of all I want to say thank you for this interview. Eynomia got together August of 2015. All of the members actually met on Facebook. It originally started out as a studio project but as it progressed we all had decided that things were meshing and to take it to where ever it can go. Eynomia is heavily influenced by Symphonic metal/rock, and Power metal bands of Europe. There are also a few USA bands as well. Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Amaranthe, Evanessance, Kamelot, Epica to name a few.

💿 On January 12th, 2018 will be out your 1st full-length "BREAK FREE" . We had the privilege to listening to this album in preview and we're very satisfied about it. Can you say us somethin' about that and its composition process and style? I wrote with writers Rich Lassahn that lives here in Minnesota and Chris Bickley who lives in Connecticut. With Rich I would either have the start of some lyrics and a melody line and he would come up with a guitar progression for it. I would also help with arranging how it went. Sometimes he had some of a guitar riff and I would write a melody line to it and we may both come up with lyrics. With Chris this was a lot more tricky...lol We had to send files back and forth to each other via email. Sometimes I would hum via facebook messenger to him what idea i had for how the song could go. Most of the time he pretty much would have the majority of the main song idea down and and i would come up with a melody line an a lyric idea. Then email it back to him...So this got the main ideas of the songs down. As far as Jimmy, Mike and Geatano's parts. We'd (Chris and I) would send a rough vocal track with a drum machine and guitar to Gaetano (who lives in Ohio) and he would lay his drum tacks down and then send those to Chris who was the keeper of the tracks! Then Mike (New Jersey)or Jimmy (Missouri) would get a stereo track to build their creative tracks. And then I did the real vocal and then sent all that to Chris who finally layed his lead tracks down. We all put our own flavor on the songs 💿 We love the cover of "BREAK FREE"; Can you tell us somethin'about?

Oh the amazing cover!!! Yes! This was done by artist Timo Wuerz http://www.timowuerz.com/ He has done several metal covers for Pure Steele/ Purelegend records. This was hand painted. Please check out his website for more amazing art from him.... The cover is a burning Phoenix which symbolizes rebirth. A lot of the Eynomia songs are about starting over, Moving on.. following your dreams. When a Phoenix dies is burns but then is reborn from it's ashes and can live several years before it dies again. Basically a Phoenix is immortal. It also symbolized strength, and power and is a beautiful bird.

💿 What's your feeling about music business today and about a classic format like vinyl? I think people need to support music by not stealing music and go to shows. I think that some people do not realize exactly how much it costs to make music for you to all enjoy. I now that vinyl has made a comeback especially in Europe. I think it's great which ever way you want to listen. The nice thing about Vinyl is you get the cover art really BIG! 💿This album will be out via PURE LEGEND RECORDS. Can you tell us somethin'about the relationships with them? I just have to say that all the staff from Pure Legend Records are so genuine and supportive. They have been working hard for Eynomia. We are like a family. They really care about their bands! They are in it for the love of the music! 💿 Are scheduled some gigs to promote this album? We are looking forward to some shows/tour we will know soon. 💿 Thank you so much for your time! See you soon on Hardrockheavymetal! Thank you so much Giovanni! It has been a pleasure...
