CONQUEST is the 13th album by Uriah Heep, released in 1980. Between 1979 and 1980 was a period of big changes for the band.

It was the one and only album with JOHN SLOMAN on vocals and CHRIS SLADE on drums and the last with KEN HENSLEY.

Many fans believe Conquest is the worst record of the band.

It sold well enough to crack the Top 40 of the UK album charts, whereas all three of the John Lawton's albums had failed to chart in the UK at all.

The album was never published in North America.

Conquest was remastered and reissued in 1997 with several bonus tracks. When Conquest was re-issued as a in 2004 the bonus tracks remained the same, but "My Joanna Needs Tuning" was dropped; it was added a version of "Feelings" that had previously only ever appeared on a Bronze Records promotional VHS tape.
