GARY MERVIN THAIN (1948/1975) was a New Zealand born bass player, well known as a member of Uriah Heep.
Born in Christchurch (NZ), THAIN moved to Australia at the age of 17. He became a member of the band "The Secrets"; later, Thain was a member of the rock trio "The New Nadir", and with drummer Peter Dawkins, he travelled from New Zealand to London.
Thain joined the "Keef Hartley Band" and, in 1971, they toured with Uriah Heep; they asked him to join them in early 1972,
Bernard "Bernie" Shaw (born June 15, 1956 in Victoria, British Columbia) is the Canadian singer, for the British Hard Rock legends Uriah Heep. In the eighties Shaw wanted to be a guitarist. When a local band was looking for a second guitarist in 1974, Shaw was auditioned, but bass player advised him to buy a mic and come back next. Lee Kerslake was born 16 in 1947 in England and he's a well-known drummer and backing vocalist for Uriah Heep and Ozzy Osbourne.
In the late 1960s to early 1970s, Kerslake played with The Gods, releasing three albums. Next he joined Uriah Heep in1971 and he left the band in October 1979 rejoining them in April 1982. He also played on David Byron's and Ken Hensley's solo albums. Kerslake's work can be heard on Osbourne's two classics as Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman.
